Welcome to the Jackson Project Newsletter. The purpose of this is to inform our members about the projects we’re embarking on and to dive deeper into the stories that are most pressing to the America First agenda we wish to promote.
This will be a biweekly newsletter, for the time being, and within in it you can find a multitude of stories ranging from electoral politics to commentary on policy written by the members of the Jackson Project team.
Here is where you will be able to keep up with developments for the Jackson Project on a more personal level delivered straight to your email. Shall we begin?
Time to Wake Up:
There is a lingering problem within the Republican party a problem which has been lingering since the early 2000s. That is the fear of moving on. The establishment seems to be fine echoing the exact same phrase over and over again with abysmal results and no understanding of how this message, one that decries socialism in favor of capitalism, does not resonate with American people in the 21st century.
Socialism in the 21st century is relegated two a few different failing economies and poses no real threat to America. AOC and the Gravel Institute can go on tirades about the inevitability of socialism, but it won’t stick, and it will fail
People are more friendly towards socialism than ever before “That’s all the more reason to be against it,” well, no. The way to defeat the socialism of the left is by providing jobs, infrastructure, a vision, and hope for those that are currently being destroyed by our system which has progressed into a corporatocracy.
The solution to America’s problems isn’t socialism, in many ways the solutions to America’s problems are not economic, to begin with, they are spiritual and communal. Our society is less trusting, more polarized, unchurched, and incredibly divided. Restoring communal bonds is what it will take to see America begin to thrive again. Messaging around the working class, the family, and the church is what will restore America, not more hyper-individualism and autonomy. The Republican party must realize this. It’s time for them to wake up to the issues facing 21st century Americans.
A Man On A Mission: Lou Barletta’s Journey To Becoming A Household Name In Pennsylvania Republican Politics:
Born in Hazleton to an Italian-American family in 1956, Lou Barletta went on to attend Luzerne County Community College and Bloomsburg Univesity before going to work with his family’s construction and heating oil business. Barletta eventually started his own business, a pavement marking company called the Interstate Road Marking Corporation in 1984.
Barletta ran unsuccessfully for a Hazleton City Council Seat in 1996, but was able to win a seat in 1998. Barletta gained national fame from his actions as mayor of Hazleton, which he was first elected to in 1999. In the early 2000s, thousands of illegal aliens unexplainably flooded into the city of Hazleton. Then mayor Barletta, realizing the grave cultural, safety, and economic threat the illegals posed to his hometown, began passing ordinances restricting the hiring of illegal aliens by local business owners, as he knew that some people would take advantage of the cheap labor they provided, and pass over the potential employees from their own community.
Mayor Barletta was unfortunately unable to pass these ordinances without controversy, as multiple civil rights groups (including the ACLU) pressed the city about the legality of these restrictions. Many conservative leaders in this situation would’ve given up and capitulated in the face of overwhelming condemnation from these bloated and corrupt “civil rights” groups, but Mayor Barletta stood strong with his America First values and promised to stand by his ordinances as long as legally possible. Unfortunately the city of Hazleton lost this legal battle, which delivered a significant blow to the rights of local leaders to mitigate the demographic change caused by the negligence of federal lawmakers.
Fast forward to 2010, and Lou Barletta has been elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, riding the wave of Republicans nationwide who were fed up at the first two years of Obama’s presidency. Barletta may have been just one of many, but he soon developed his own reputation as an America First crusader in Congress, standing up to both the Republican and Democratic establishment’s push to expand amnesty and flood the country with millions of illegal aliens. During his tenure, Barletta introduced the Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act of 2011. This act, one that unfortunately did not make it to a floor vote, would have cut funding to cities that did not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. Barletta continued his conservative crusade against open borders by introducing the Visa Overstay Enforcement Act of 2013, which would have increased penalties for visa fraud, thus discouraging temporary immigrants from staying longer than they are legally allowed. Barletta also stood strongly against calls from his fellow Republicans to compromise on amnesty, and has just recently hinted at supporting an immigration moratorium.
But possibly Barletta’s greatest contribution to the America First movement was his role in helping Trump win Pennsylvania in 2016, which was a crucial victory in securing Trump’s electoral college triumph. During the late stages of the campaign, the Trump campaign was about to give up on Pennsylvania and pull spending from the state. This was until then-Representative Barletta convinced Trump of his chances in the state, which would prove invaluable on the night of November 8, 2016 when Trump took a narrow victory in the Keystone State and secure his path to the White House.
With such an impressive and inspiring background, America First nationalists can only dream of the amazing things that Lou Barletta will do when he assumes the governorship of Pennsylvania in 2023. From E-verify, to putting small businesses first, and securing quality manufacturing and energy jobs for the state of Pennsylvania, Lou Barletta has to be the America First favorite for leading the Keystone State.
A Race In New York:
New Siena poll for New York: Who do you prefer to see as your next governor? Generic D: 55% Generic R: 29% Undecided: 16% Cuomo: 48% Generic R: 38% Undecided: 14%
As Ryan Girdusky pointed out on TwitterIf Republicans are doing so much better in the polls at this point in the race is it possible Republicans could sweep into the much coveted Albany Mansion? I doubt it, it will be a long shot.
Despite these numbers being a loss for the Republican, Pro America, candidate we must acknowledge that these negative numbers for Democrats are indicative of the growing discontent towards COVID-19 Democrat policy.
United States Representative Lee Zeldin has also recently announced his bid for NY Governor race. What can be said thus far is Giuliani has a clear name recognition but Zeldin appears to have support from many members of the Republican elite. An endorsement both from a House Member that voted to impeach Trump, Rep. John Katko, and a close Trump ally, Jim Jordan.
Regardless of the outcome of this primary it will be an interesting to watch and see how it develops heading into the general election.
An Unjustified Moral Panic:
Every day we see an effort, on the front of the Republican party, to out do the progressive leftists and liberals. The Republican party wants to be more liberal, more progressive, more open minded, more accepting, less bigoted. They want to destroy racism, honor George Floyd, and defeat fascism once and for all.
I don’t think that these are bad goals, but they’re not necessarily conservative goals either. Conservatism would look to promote the family unit, unite the American industries around a certain goal, and promote religiosity in the lives of the populace. Leave the virtue signaling for the liberals please.
This effort to outdo the liberals in the progressive Olympics leads to the Republican parties leaders denouncing their own members for frivolous things. In an effort to display the authoritarian nature of vaccine passports Marjorie Taylore Greene said this. She is not likening this vaccine passport measure to the executions of millions of people. I prefer to take Gavin Wax’s approach to this whole unjustified controversy.
It is neither harmful or trivializing the holocaust to say that tyrannical policies should not be implemented across the board. McCarthy came out and released a statement DENOUNCING!!!! MTG, what is this the 3rd time or something? and it’s just more of the same old grand standing. The Republican party leaders will attack their members, whereas AOC, Illhan Omar, or Rashida Talib will defend 9/11 and Nancy Pelosi will not only NOT denounce them, but instead vocally support them.
So of course, McCarthy is an enemy to the movement, and if you don’t understand that it’s because you don’t understand politics or power. No wonder house Republicans have been consistently losing the legislation battles.
